Jennifer Tepan

Jennifer Tepan graduated from Hunter College with a degree in Psychology, a concentration in Behavioral Neuroscience and a minor in Political Science. The goal of her current research is too evaluate the effectiveness of certain medications at improving neurodegenerative diseases through the use of psychological tests, neuroimaging and cellular assays.
Jennifer worked at Dr. Maria Figueiredo-Pereira’s lab where she researches how repurposed drugs can ameliorate the major hallmarks of Alzheimer’s disease. She will continue her research on how the drugs mechanism of action can have positive effects on transgenic rat models. Her future career interests lies in the pathology of memory decline and how it may target certain pathways of the brain. |
