Emmanuel Makinde

Emmanuel Makinde is a senior at NYU pursuing a B.S. in Neuroscience with a dual minor in computer science and math.
At the NYU Center for Neural Science, he researches protein synthesis in memory consolidation and its potential role in Alzheimer's under Dr. Eric Klann, mentored by Dr. Mauricio Oliveira. Emmanuel has also conducted research at the Carter Lab at Vanderbilt and the Blumenfeld Lab at Yale. Emmanuel plans to become a physician-scientist with focuses that span molecular neurobiology, computational neuroscience, and learning and memory. |
