Anthony graduated from Hunter College with degrees in Psychology and Biological Sciences.
As a part of Dr. Nesha Burghardt’s lab, he studied the effects of curcumin on prenatal development and adult hippocampal neurogenesis in Dr. Nesha Burghardt’s lab. During summer 2021, he worked at the University of Chicago with Dr. Christos Lazaridis studying differences in outcomes of decompressive craniectomy for treatment of elevated intracranial pressure in severe TBI patients from underrepresented minority groups. Anthony’s ultimate goal is to become an independent scientist. For his graduate studies, he is interested in studying the neural circuity and mechanisms underlying deficits in cognitive and motor function following neurological damage. He wants his work to contribute to the development of better diagnosis and treatments. |
